Recognition AwardsGold Medal Award: The Gold Medal is to be awarded in recognition of unusually distinguished service or contributions to the Association of Academic Radiology, academic radiology, or the field of radiology in general. A3CR2 Outstanding Teacher Award: This award recognizes an outstanding teacher in radiology as evidenced by the quality of their presentations and teaching materials; their ability to motivate learning; their effectiveness as a mentor; and the impact that their teaching has had upon trainees. ACER Achievement Award: This award recognizes a leader in radiology education, with significant contributions to ACER, education, and academic radiology. ACER Emerging Educator Award: This award recognizes and celebrates the contributions of early-career educators who show promise in the field of Radiology Education. AMSER Excellence in Education Award: This award honors an educator who has made outstanding contributions to medical student radiology education in the USA. RAHSR Achievement Award: This award recognizes an individual that has outstanding dedication to health services research. RRA New Investigator Award: This award recognizes a promising new investigator. A plaque will be awarded at the AAR Annual Meeting during the AAR Awards Luncheon. RRA Innovation and Leadership Award: This new award recognizes a visionary who has made significant contributions to advance radiology research, innovation, leadership, mentorship and growth of the RRA.
AAR Meeting AwardsA3CR2 Research Award: A resident who is both the primary author and the presenter of an accepted abstract is eligible for the A3CR2 Research Award. AMSER Henry Goldberg Medical Student Award: The AMSER Henry Goldberg Medical Student Award may be presented annually to any medical student who submits an outstanding abstract for a paper, poster, or electronic exhibit for presentation at the AAR Annual Meeting. AAR Trainee Prizes: Trainee Prizes are awarded to any student, resident or fellow who is both the primary author and the presenter of an accepted abstract. Radiology Alliance for Health Services Research (RAHSR) - Harvey L. Neiman Award (supported by ACR): This award may be presented annually to any student, resident, fellow, or AAR member who submits an outstanding abstract on radiology socioeconomics or health services research for presentation at the AAR Annual Meeting. Whitley Award: A certificate along with a $1,000 honorarium in honor of Joseph E. Whitley, MD, and his wife, Nancy, is awarded annually to the person who presents and submits the best radiologic educational paper. Memorial Award: In honor of deceased members of the Association of Academic Radiology (AAR), a Memorial Award may be presented annually to the radiology medical student, resident, or first year fellow who submits an outstanding original paper on any aspect of radiology. This award is open only to AAR members. |
