What is ECLEP?

The AAR/APDR Early Career Lecture Exchange Program (ECLEP) offers participants a unique opportunity to deliver invited lectureships at participating institutions across the U.S. and receive valuable feedback on their teaching from an experienced mentor. All presentations will be conducted virtually, and while there is no monetary remuneration or honorarium, the benefits of this program include professional growth and the chance to engage with a broader academic community.

Additionally, all presentations will be recorded and made available to AAR/APDR members.

Who is Eligible?

The program is open only to AAR and APDR members who are early in their career (< 7 years after completion of training).

Why Participate?

Participation in this program is an excellent opportunity to advance academic career goals, especially as an early-career faculty member. Participants will be provided an opportunity to present as a visiting professor at a participating program, an important part of many institutional promotion pathways. Likewise, institutions who have faculty participate are also encouraged to accept participants to present at their institution. The topics requested from the participating institutions are broad, including all areas of clinical radiology as well as a range of non-clinical topics, such as wellness, public health, healthcare disparities, hospital management, and quality and safety.
