Mentoring

Many clinician-educators benefit immensely from mentoring in the early stages of their careers, or as they transition up the academic ladder. While many of you may have excellent mentors within your departments, others are not so lucky or would like to be mentored by experienced clinician-educators from other institutions.

We are lucky enough within ACER to have a number of dedicated clinician-educators who have volunteered to mentor junior colleagues within ACER. This may involve email, phone or personal contact at meetings, review of CVs or educator portfolios, or more informal advice on career development or sometimes career-personal balance depending on the needs of the mentee.

If you would like to be connected with an ACER mentor or are willing to become an ACER mentor, please send your name, email address, rank, institution and specialty to the current ACER President who maintains the mentoring database.
