Awards, Training and Grant Programs

AUR Awards Eligibility Summary

Provides a summary of the awards that are available for Medical Students, Residents and Fellows.
A3CR2 Research Award
  A resident who is both the primary author and the presenter of the of an accepted abstract is eligible for the A3CR2 Research Award.
AMSER Henry Goldberg Medical Student Award

The AMSER Henry Goldberg Medical Student Award may be presented annually to any medical student who submits an outstanding abstract for a paper, poster, or electronic exhibit for presentation at the AUR Annual Meeting.
RSNA/AUR/APDR/SCARD Radiology Education Research Development Grant

Purpose: To encourage innovation and improvement in health sciences education by providing research opportunities to individuals in pursuit of advancing the science of radiology education.
AUR GE Radiology Research Academic Fellowship Award (GERRAF)

Gold Medal Award

The Gold Medal is to be awarded in recognition of unusually distinguished service or contributions to the Association of University Radiologists, academic radiology, or the field of radiology in general.
Memorial Award

In honor of deceased members of the Association of University Radiologists (AUR), a Memorial Award may be presented annually to the radiology medical student, resident, or first year fellow who submits an outstanding original paper on any aspect of radiology.
RAHSR-ACR Award for Socioeconomic and Health Services Research

The RAHSR-ACR Award may be presented annually to any student, resident, fellow, or AUR member who submits an outstanding abstract on radiology socioeconomics or health services research for presentation at the AUR Annual Meeting.
AUR Trainee Prizes
  Trainee Prizes are awarded to any student, resident or fellow who is both the primary author and the presenter of an accepted abstract.
Whitley Award

A certificate along with a $1,000 honorarium in honor of Joseph E. Whitley, MD, and his wife, Nancy, is awarded annually to the person who presents and submits the best radiologic educational paper.
Radiology Research Alliance (RRA) New Investigator Award

This newly created award recognizes a promising new investigator. A certificate and $1,000 prize will be awarded at the AUR Annual Meeting.
Stauffer Award

The Stauffer Awards commemorate the memory of Dr. Herbert M. Stauffer who established the Radiology-Physiology Laboratory at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. That laboratory and these awards honor his contribution to radiology.
